The Latest from Storm Team 5…
Thankfully todays weather has stayed fairly uneventful besides a few pop up showers and downpours this afternoon. Holding a chance for a spotty shower or storm this evening, but nothing that would mean to cancel any plans. Lows tonight will fall into the upper 50s up north, to the mid 60s for the rest. Patchy fog will likely develop overnight.
Besides morning fog, its should be a mostly sunny and dry day in northeast Wisconsin. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s, upper 70s lakeside. However, that sunshine will mix with wildfire that will drop in from central Canada. An AIR QUALITY ALERT is in effect until 11pm Friday evening.
Saturday, a weak wave of low pressure will track through the southern edge of Lake Michigan, brining a chance for showers and storms for Green Bay and the Fox Valley for the morning and mid day. Highs still in the low to mid 80s.
For Sunday, the heat returns and it will get very hot. Mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. Heat index values could top 100 once again.
Keep tabs on this part… a cold front will drop in Sunday night into Monday morning. These could be on the strong side… more to come this weekend.
