WHITEWATER, Wis. (WFRV) – Two men are facing multiple felony charges after a search warrant in Whitewater uncovered drugs, forged documents, and equipment used to make fake IDs and Social Security cards.
According to the Walworth County Drug Enforcement Unit, the arrests came after an investigation into illegal drug sales and the distribution of fraudulent identification in the Whitewater area. Officials say the case involved multiple controlled buys that led to a search warrant.

On July 17, around 7:15 a.m., a drug search warrant was executed at a home on East North Street with the help of several agencies, including the City of Whitewater Police, UW-Whitewater Police, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Marshals, FBI, and ICE.
During the search, officers found cocaine, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and equipment used to produce fake photo IDs and Social Security cards. Additional counterfeit documents were also seized.
The suspects were identified as 24-year-old Freddys M. Gaitan Ruiz (also known as Freddys M. Moreno Ruiz) and 30-year-old Anner A. Bustamante Talavera.
Gaitan Ruiz is facing seven felony charges, including multiple counts of forgery and cocaine distribution, along with one misdemeanor for drug paraphernalia possession.

Bustamante Talavera is charged with six felonies, including forgery, drug distribution, and bail jumping, as well as two misdemeanors.
Both men had their bail set at $10,000 and have signed bonds. Bustamante Talavera is due back in court on July 30, while Gaitan Ruiz is scheduled to appear on July 31.
