NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – After more than a decade as a beloved local venue, The ReMixx has announced it will close its doors at the end of September.
The LGBTQIA+ performance space shared on Facebook that the building they’ve rented for the past 11 years has been sold to the Town of Clayton.
While initial hopes suggested the venue might stay put for a few more years, the Town Board voted not to renew The ReMixx’s lease past its current end date of September 30, 2025.

Until closing, The ReMixx will continue regular operations through August and September.
Russ Geise, the Chair of the Town of Clayton, told Local 5 the town wants to use the property to create more community resource spaces for things like voting, town board offices and other ventures. He also mentioned the town’s legal team advised the board not to renew the lease with the establishment due to the fact that the property is owned by the town, and it served alcohol.
Supporters are encouraged to keep following and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, local drag Queens and Kings, burlesque, and performance artists in the area.
