The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
It seems like it’s been a summer of warm weather and wildfire smoke! Unfortunately, that Canadian wildfire smoke is not only back, but it is thick near the ground and creating some breathing concerns. The Air Quality Index or AQI is in the “unhealthy for all” category, and the National Weather Service has issued an AIR QUALITY ALERT from now until noon on Thursday. After that, tomorrow afternoon will bring thinning smoke and blue skies again.
Other than the smoke, plan on seeing mostly cloudy skies Wednesday with a chance for a few showers or some rumbles of thunder. The best chance for rain is in the southern half of the area from the morning into the afternoon. Good news, though! The humidity has dropped significantly last night. It will be cooler than previous days in the middle 70s.
Tonight, rain will be gone with gradual clearing late. Winds pick up a bit as refreshing air continues to roll in. The low is 58 degrees.
Tomorrow, breezy with wildfire smoke in the morning. Less wind and lots of sunshine in the afternoon with a high of 75 degrees.
Sunny and comfy Friday with a high of 78 degrees.
Much of the same on Saturday. Sunny and comfy and 81 degrees.
A mix of sun and clouds for Sunday with a high of 82 degrees.
