BLACK CREEK, Wis. (WFRV) – Effective Friday, August 1, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office will take up police service duties in the Village of Black Creek.
The Black Creek Police Department posted on Facebook on Thursday, thanking the citizens for their support and encouragement, stating that it was the agency’s final post.

“I would like to personally thank all of the citizens of Black Creek for their words of encouragement and support,” the Black Creek Police Department said. “You are the reason we, the small town police officers, served this community with pride and integrity.”
The department consists of just a handful of part-time officers and a part-time Interim Police Chief. The post said that over several years, many officers have come and gone, working up towards larger agencies.

The comments were filled with gratitude from residents, who wished the officers luck in their future endeavors.
