MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – The Brewers have the best record in baseball, and they’re reportedly adding to the lineup ahead of the MLB Trade Deadline.
According to MLB Network Insider Mark Feinsand, Milwaukee is sending Nestor Cortes to San Diego for 28-year-old outfielder Brandon Lockridge.

Lockridge’s last game in the majors came back on June 21, and in 88 at-bats this season, he’s recorded an on-base plus slugging percentage of just .519. However, Lockridge is among the fastest players in the league, as he’s listed in the 99th percentile of players for sprint speed.
Cortes’s short Brewers career comes to an end after just eight innings, after he had a few rehab assignments following his time on the 60-day injured list with a left elbow injury. He came to Milwaukee as part of the Devin Williams trade in December.
