WAUTOMA, Wis. (WFRV) – A Waushara County man was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography, a machine gun and threatening officers.
According to a release from the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office, 51-year-old Stanley Waters of Redgranite was convicted in a plea agreement and will also serve five years of extended supervision and register as a sex offender for 15 years.

The charges were from a firearm investigation in 2024 that focused on two others who were later sentenced. The investigation led officers to a search warrant at a home where Waters was found, but not as the initial target.
Waters did not comply with the search, leading officers to deploy a K9 and take him to a hospital, and then, upon his return to the scene, he threatened officers, which led to charges. Officers later found evidence that connected him to possession of child porn and a machine gun.
