THE LATEST FROM STORM TEAM 5…
Besides a few clouds, the night should be fairly quiet with lows in the 50s to around 60. Some patchy fog is possible early tomorrow morning.
As expected, our AIR QUALITY ALERT was extended until Monday at noon, and it is likely another extension is coming lasting through Tuesday morning as wildfire smoke will linger all day and into the overnight hours.
Besides the smoke, expect morning clouds to give way to hazy sunshine. High temperatures in the low to mid 80s.
Tuesday should see the smoke start to thin out during the morning, leading to a better afternoon and evening. Otherwise, a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low to mid 80s.
Besides a small rain chance in the afternoon Wednesday, it should be a mainly dry day. Highs will once again reach the low to mid 80s. While there is an isolated storm chance Thursday and Friday, the main story is the return of heat and humidity. Highs in the middle to upper 80s paired with dew points closing in on 70. Best rain and storm chance I see will be on Saturday. If the front gets held up, that could linger into Sunday but for now I have us dry.
