The Latest from Storm Team 5…
As expected, the AIR QUALITY ALERT was extended until noon on Tuesday as wildfire smoke will continue to impact the area, leading to unhealthy levels of smoke. Those that are sensitive should continue to the smoke should limit time outdoors and drink plenty of water.
Tonight, expect a few clouds from time to time with smoke lingering. Lows in the upper 50s to around 60.
Tomorrow should be mostly sunny with a noticeable haze in the sky. Highs in the low to mid 80s with dew points hovering around the comfy point of 60 degrees. While our Air Quality Alert expires at noon, expect it to be extended one more day.
Wednesday should see the smoke slowly start to thin out with a SW wind kicking in. Otherwise, a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures running into the low to mid 80s again.
The smoke exits and that is replaced by the heat and humidity. Highs for the rest of the week will sit in the middle and upper 80s to around 90, paired with muggy dew points in the upper 60s to around 70. Isolated storm chance on Thursday morning, then our next rain and storm chance arrives Saturday night into Sunday.
