FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Three people were arrested on numerous drug charges following a multi-county pursuit that ended in Fond du Lac County and a search for a pink backpack.
Around 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was warned by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office of a pursuit in their jurisdiction on I-41 that was nearing Fond du Lac County.
The suspect vehicle was reportedly registered out of Milwaukee and was southbound on I-41 before a second pursuit was terminated near Lakeshore Drive and Lone Elm Road.

Shortly after, a deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office found the suspect vehicle parked off the roadway near the W6000 block of Lincoln Road, and two people who were reportedly in the vehicle before were seen walking on Lincoln.
It was learned that a third suspect, who was also reportedly in the vehicle during the pursuit, was not found.

A perimeter was set up with numerous law enforcement agencies assiting, including the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, and Fond du Lac Police Department. A drone and K9 team were then utilized to help track the third suspect.
The third person was eventually found trying to exit onto White Pine Road near Lone Elm Road and was taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle allegedly resulted in the seizure of 5g of cocaine, roughly 4.3g of crack cocaine reportedly packed for sale, 12g of Psilocybin, THC vape pens, and ammunition.

The three people arrested were between the ages of 18 to 28.
After interviewing the suspects, information was gathered about a pink backpack that was reportedly stashed near a pine tree in the W6000 block of Lincoln Road. Deputies say the backpack likely contained more drug-related items and a handgun.
After searching the area for the backpack, it was not found.
Deputies are asking anyone in the area who may be aware of the pink backpack to contact the Sheriff’s Office, saying the route of the vehicle was south on Lakeshore Drive and east on Lincoln Road.
