GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay and Service League of Green Bay co-hosted the second One Stop School Shop event to help local families prepare for the upcoming school year.
The event, held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Kress Events Center, was open to pre-registered families only.

In 2025, the event served around 3,700 area students. Elementary-aged children were able to “shop” for a backpack, school supplies, socks, and underwear, while middle and high school students received pre-packed backpacks filled with age-appropriate supplies.
Beyond academic essentials, the event also featured a resource fair connecting families with community resources such as health services, educational support, and local programs aimed at helping children thrive year-round.

“This event truly represents the power of partnership in meeting the needs of our community,” said Becky Darrow, social services director for The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay. “We are thrilled to once again join forces with Service League and Newcap to make sure every student walks into school feeling confident, prepared, and supported.”
This year marks a significant milestone, as the Service League of Green Bay—an organization that has served local children for more than 90 years—will dissolve at the end of its fiscal year.
