KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 26-year-old Wisconsin man is dead and a passenger is injured following a severe rollover crash early Sunday morning.
According to the Kenosha Police Department, officers were called to the 1400 block of 60th Street just after midnight on August 3 for a report of a crash with injuries in Kenosha. Witnesses told investigators the vehicle hit both a fire hydrant and a tree before rolling onto its roof.

When officers arrived, they found two people trapped inside the vehicle. The front seat passenger, a 25-year-old woman from Illinois, was extricated and transported to a nearby hospital with a broken arm.

The driver, identified as Valentin Chapa Jr. of Kenosha, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team was called in to investigate due to the fatality. The road was closed for approximately five hours. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
