TRENTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 35-year-old woman was killed, and another driver was airlifted from the scene after a head-on crash in eastern Wisconsin early Thursday morning.
Deputies with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office say they were called to a two-vehicle head-on crash on County Highway A in Trenton around 5:55 a.m. on August 7.
The collision happened north of Breezy Point Road, deputies say.
Based on an initial investigation, deputies reported a southbound BMW on CTH A crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with an SUV. The driver of the BMW was a 46-year-old man from Portage, and the SUV driver was a 35-year-old woman from Beaver Dam.
After responding to the scene, the woman was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, but was pronounced dead after lifesaving attempts were unsuccessful.

The other driver suffered possible life-threatening injuries, deputies say, and was airlifted from the scene. At the time of the release, his condition is unknown.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
