FITCHBURG, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say a 54-year-old Wisconsin man is dead after they crashed their motorcycle into an SUV Thursday evening.
According to a release from the Fitchburg Police Department, officers responded around 5:20 p.m. at the 2600 block of South Seminole Highway for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Police say a 54-year-old man from Verona was driving his motorcycle north on South Seminole Highway when he made contact with an SUV.
Following the crash, the motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries before later being pronounced dead by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
At this time, there is no other information is available, there is no word from officials on what caused the motorcycle to crash with the SUV, and the name of the victim is expected to be released at a later time.
