The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
The saying goes, “It’s not so much the heat, it’s the humidity!” Well, that rings true today as the tropical humidity will make it feel warmer than the air temperatures on the thermometer. The heat index, or the feel-like temperatures this afternoon will surge into the upper 90s or close to 100 degrees. That is why many of our communities away from the lake are under a HEAT ADVISORY from noon until 7pm this evening.
Mostly sunny Friday, along with hot and muggy conditions. Upper 80s and low 90s on the thermometer, low 80s near the lake. The heat index will climb 5 to 10 degrees warmer than the air temperature. Winds will be from the south at 10 to 20 miles per hour.
Friday night, warm and muggy weather continues with partly cloudy skies. There is a chance for thunderstorms over the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and our northwoods late. The low is 74 degrees!
Warm and humid Saturday with a high of 86 degrees. Our next widespread chance for thunderstorms will come through in the late morning and afternoon. Some storms could produce strong winds, pockets of hail, and downpours.
Sunday, another chance for thunderstorms and a high of 82 degrees.
