WAUPACA COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people were killed Friday afternoon in a crash at the intersection of State Highways 22/54 and 110 in the Town of Royalton, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say in a press release that the crash happened around 2:16 p.m. when a westbound car on STH 22/54 attempted to turn south onto STH 110 and failed to yield to an eastbound pickup truck. The vehicles collided, causing a secondary crash with another pickup truck stopped at the intersection.

The car’s driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The eastbound pickup driver suffered a minor injury and was treated and released.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Weyauwega Police and Fire departments, Wisconsin State Patrol, Gold Cross Ambulance, ThedaStar Helicopter and the Waupaca County Highway Department.
The names of the victims have not been released pending notification of family.
The crash remains under investigation.
