SEYMOUR, Wis. (WFRV) – BurgerFest made its sizzling return to Seymour this weekend, celebrating 35 years of flipping fun.
From the early morning bun run to the BurgerFest parade and even the giant ketchup slide, it has been a feast for the senses.
Crowds gathered for a burger-eating contest and the famous giant hamburger.
Last day of Wisconsin State Fair canceled after Saturday flash flooding, ‘forecast ahead’
“Holy hamburger!” began Don’s Quality Market Store Director Jason Wolf. “What a grand and glorious day for the hamburger festival here in Seymour. At Don’s Quality Market, we have the pleasure of making the hamburger bun. The bun supports a 200-pound hamburger and takes approximately four hours from start to finish to make. The bun is about 271 times the size of a regular hamburger bun.”
Organizers say the festival is one of Wisconsin’s tastiest summer traditions.
