The Latest from Storm Team 5…
Before we get into Monday’s forecast, tonight we will have a complex of showers and storms roll through northeast Wisconsin. Severe threat is looking low, but the main impact will be heavy rain as this storm moving out of SW WI is moving fairly slowly at 25 mph.
This storm has been producing 1-3in/hour rainfall rates, so a quick 1-2″ of rain in some isolated locations can not be ruled out. This should exit before daybreak tomorrow, but we will be watching for some patchy fog to develop late.
We do have a FLOOD WATCH that continues for Green Lake, Marquette, Fond Du Lac and Sheboygan counties until 7am Monday.
Now onto Monday, which has been trending drier throughout the day today. We will start with some clouds, breaking out to a mixture of sun and clouds. With a stalled out front off to the west, that could flare up an isolated thundershower, but that chance looks low. Highs will work into the low to mid 80s.
There is a chance for a few thunderstorms overnight, lingering into Tuesday morning for the Lakeshore counties. Otherwise, sun and clouds with highs in the low to mid 80s once again. Now that cold front will finally advance east and could spark some scattered storms for the late PM and into evening. We will be watching the strength of those.
Quiet weather will return for much of the remainder of the week. We may get a slight break from the humidity Wednesday and Thursday just for it to build back again later in the week.
