The Latest from Storm Team 5…
Quiet weather will continue through the rest of our evening and much of the overnight. However, a light plume of smoke will move in late tonight and continue especially for Green Bay and areas north and west throughout tomorrow. An AIR QUALITY ALERT is in effect until 3pm Tuesday.
For tonight, increasing clouds, warm and muggy, with a chance for a shower south closer to daybreak. Lows in the middle to upper 60s.
Tomorrow will start mostly cloudy with a few rain showers south and east of Green Bay. Skies will start to open up around mid day, and that will likely flare up a line of showers and storms for the afternoon and early evening along a cold front. Main window looks to be 1-7pm on Tuesday.
Widespread severe weather looks low, but we cant rule out a severe thunderstorm warning or two with the main impacts being winds up to 60mph, hail up to 1″ and downpours. In those downpours, you could pick up a quick inch of rain.
In the wake of this cold front, while we will get a break from the heat and humidity with highs in the middle to upper 70s, models are hinting at more dangerous levels of smoke to move in for Wednesday. The weather should stay quiet Thursday before an uptick in activity Friday and into the weekend.
