The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
Here comes another nice mid-August day with some sunshine and seasonal temperatures. The only change from yesterday is the humidity will go up a little bit more. Wildfire smoke continues to be in our sky, but not in high enough concentrations to bring breathing concerns or an Air Quality Alert.
Thunderstorm chances go up late Friday night (after midnight) and into Saturday. Heavy rain producing thunderstorms, along with a chance for severe weather, will be in the area this weekend.
Sunshine and a few clouds Thursday, and a bit humid. The highs return to the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Thursday night brings partly cloudy skies and 62 degrees. There is a small chance that a light rain shower could cross over the northwoods.
A few clouds on Friday morning could include a stray shower, but it’s not a great rain chance. Mostly sunny, hot, and humid by the afternoon with highs in the middle and upper 80s! It will feel warmer than that as the heat index could be in the 90 to 95 degree range. Thunderstorms are possible late at night into Saturday morning.
Scattered strong thunderstorms possible Saturday. The highest chance is in the morning, while the coverage of afternoon/evening thunderstorms will be less. The high is 84 degrees with some thick humidity again.
Another chance for scattered thunderstorms is on Sunday. The high drops a bit to 77 degrees.
