APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Festival Foods in Appleton was evacuated Thursday morning after a fire alarm went off, but authorities have since deemed the situation safe.
According to the Appleton Fire Department, the alarm at the Northland Avenue location sounded just after 9:15 a.m. Crews responded and determined there was no emergency.

All customers had evacuated the store, and Festival Foods later confirmed that maintenance on the sprinkler system had accidentally triggered the alarm.
After a quick sweep of the building, everyone was allowed back inside.
