APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Appleton Police Department has arrested a man in connection with Saturday’s disturbance involving a weapon on West Wisconsin Avenue.
On Aug. 16, 2025, at around 12:45 p.m., officers responded to a weapons call in the 900 block of West Wisconsin Avenue. Officers quickly secured the area, and no injuries or property damage were reported.

According to witnesses, the incident began as a driving dispute between two vehicles. During the altercation, one driver displayed a handgun, fired it, and fled the scene.
Through witness interviews, evidence processing, and surveillance footage review, police identified the suspect’s vehicle and driver. At about 3:50 p.m., officers located the vehicle and arrested Mickeal Felton. He was booked into the Outagamie County Jail on charges of felon in possession of a firearm, first-degree recklessly endangering safety, and a probation violation.

Police recovered the firearm and logged it into evidence.
The Appleton Police Department urged community members to resolve disputes peacefully, warning that introducing a firearm into a conflict endangers lives and will be met with swift enforcement action.
