NEW CHESTER, Wis. (WFRV) – Six people were arrested earlier this month following search warrants obtained by deputies in Wisconsin after they reportedly received credible information about the possible use and distribution of controlled substances.
According to a release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received the credible information on the morning of August 9 and quickly worked to obtain search warrants for the two locations where they believed these drugs were being used and distributed.

Officials say the search warrants were carried out that same afternoon at a home on the 2900 block of Brentwood Drive and another home a short distance away on the 2900 block of Crestwood Lane. Both locations were said to be in the Township of New Chester.
After searching both locations, multiple items of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were found.
Further investigation led to another search warrant at a home on the 1000 block of Fern Avenue in the Township of Spring on August 14.
Deputies say the following six people were arrested and/or had charges referred to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office:
- 51-year-old Justine Doucette from Grand Marsh
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- 55-year-old Leighton Brazwell from Grand Marsh
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- 38-year-old Ashey Rizer from Oxford
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Probation Hold
- 40-year-old Audrey Hill from Adams
- Probation Hold
- 45-year-old Terrance Prutzman from Grand Marsh
- Probation Hold
- 50-year-old Dean Best from Springville
- Probation Hold
On August 11, both Doucette and Brazwell had initial appearances in court and were released on $1,500 signature bonds.

Best has also reportedly been released, while Rizer, Hill, and Prutzman all remain in custody at the Adams County Jail.
