GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) is celebrating record traffic from this year’s EAA AirVenture week.
According to a Facebook post, airport officials say a six-year partnership with Discover Door County, Visit Central Florida, and other aviation groups has helped showcase the region and draw in more visitors.

The impact stretches beyond the runway. Hotels, restaurants, and local shops report more guests showing up with AirVenture wristbands, boosting the local economy.
At the airport itself, visits at the terminal were up almost 12%, and GRB handled 741 unique aircraft operations. More than 8,000 people stopped by the GRB booth during the event, with thousands registering for prizes and picking up travel guides.
Airport leaders thanked volunteers, airline partners, and local businesses for helping make the week a success, calling aviation “a powerful reminder that aviation doesn’t just take off from the runway, t lifts up our entire community”
