PESHTIGO, Wis. (WFRV) – After the Milwaukee Brewers got their 12th win in a row earlier this month, George Webb handed out free burgers to loyal fans.
Many fans came from around northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to take part and celebrate the occasion.
The store manager at George Webb in Peshtigo said the restaurant gave out more than 400 vouchers to fans who could not attend the celebration Wednesday and ordered over 2,000 pounds of meat to be used for the burgers.
The restaurant closed at 10 a.m. Wednesday to prepare for the rush of customers, even handing out burgers outside in coolers to make things easier.
Throughout the day, customers said they were grateful to be part of the event, stopping to take pictures and meet other Brewers fans.
