(WFRV) – As the summer season starts to come to an end and the Labor Day holiday weekend approaches, communities in northeast Wisconsin reportedly saw their gas prices rise nearly 20¢ in a single day.
According to the official fuel prices on AAA’s website, regular gas prices went up by about 20¢ throughout the Badger State, with the Wausau area seeing the largest increase at 21¢ per gallon and the Superior area seeing the lowest increase at 4¢ per gallon.

In northeast Wisconsin, the Green Bay community saw the largest increase at 19¢ per gallon, with the Appleton and Sheboygan areas right behind it at 18¢ per gallon. The Fond du Lac area saw the lowest increase in northeast Wisconsin at 12¢ a gallon.

Despite the nearly 20¢ increase in regular gas prices throughout the state, Wisconsin’s current average of $3.01 per gallon is significantly lower,13¢ lower, than the national average of $3.14.
