TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people were taken into custody Thursday night after officers in Two Rivers responded to reports of what neighbors initially described as an explosion.
According to the Two Rivers Police Department, officers were called around 10:15 p.m. to the 2100 block of Hawthorne Avenue. The noise was later determined to be a gunshot.

The homeowner, identified as 24-year-old Caleb Wentker, admitted to firing a shotgun inside the residence. Police learned another individual was inside, and with help from the Manitowoc County SWAT Team, executed a search warrant.
Inside the home, officers found 23-year-old Carlos Pina in possession of a rifle.

Wentker was arrested for second-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of a short-barreled shotgun, bail jumping, disorderly conduct, and alteration of property identification marks.
Pina was arrested for bail jumping and possession of THC.
