WALWORTH, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people are dead after a crash late Friday night in Walworth County sent one vehicle into a house, sparking a fire that engulfed both the vehicle and the home.
Authorities say the crash happened shortly after 11:45 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 14 and State Line Road. Witnesses reported two vehicles collided before striking a nearby house. One of the vehicles caught fire, and the flames spread to the home.

Emergency crews arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed. Both the driver and passenger inside were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names are being withheld pending notification of family.
The driver of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to a nearby hospital.
A preliminary investigation revealed that 20-year-old Zachary Bryan was traveling west on State Line Road when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign on U.S. Highway 14, striking a northbound vehicle. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the road and crash into the residence.
The home was occupied at the time, but no one inside was injured.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to all impacted and said the investigation remains ongoing.
