Powerball jackpot climbs to historic level
It’s unclear in which states or stores the products were sold, but SpartanNash serves roughly 2,500 retail locations “across the U.S.” That includes roughly 200 of its own grocery stores, operating under names like Family Fare, D&W Fresh Market, and Needler’s Fresh Market. The company has locations in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
The J.M. Smucker Co. did not immediately respond to Nexstar’s request for additional information about the recall.
“We are committed to your health and safety,” the company said in a statement included with the SpartanNash recall alert. “We follow best practices to ensure the quality and safety of the products we sell. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
Four other grocery retailers that have locations in the Midwest — Kroger, Walmart, Target, and Meijer — do not currently list the above recall on their sites.
