BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WFRV) – A man, who reportedly admitted to drinking beer, was cited for OWI after crashing through a western Wisconsin travel center early Wednesday morning.
Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office say that around 3:05 a.m. on August 27, they got a call reporting that a vehicle had crashed into the Flying J Travel Center in Black River Falls.
Authorities say the vehicle had completely went through a portion of the travel center that was under remodel.

When deputies arrived, they found the driver inside the building. The driver was later identified as 38-year-old Jordan Gajewski of Edgar.

Deputies stated that Gajewski was ‘unsteady’ on his feet and was reportedly ‘noticeably swaying.’ Gajewski admitted to consuming beer and allegedly stated he was at a bar earlier that night.

Gajewski was subsequently cited for OWI.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol and Black River Falls Fire Department during the incident.
