Now, after the Packers acquired superstar pass-rusher Micah Parsons from the Cowboys, who announced during his press conference on Friday that he would wear Curly Lambeau’s No. 1, Golden is making another switch.
The Packers posted on social media that Golden is now switching to the No. 0. Two additional Packers players are obtaining new numbers as well.

As of now, no specific reason has been given; however, Golden becomes the first Packer in history to wear the No. 0, which was recently re-entered into the NFL’s rulebook as an available choice.
It remains unknown whether people who purchased a No. 22 Golden jersey will be able to trade theirs in for the new number. In 2023, Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith changed to No. 0, and he offered fans an opportunity to switch out their jerseys with his former number to the new one.
