ADDISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Two men were arrested Sunday afternoon following a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds over 120mph.
According to a release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 1:53 p.m. to assist the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office in pursuing a vehicle wanted in connection with a recent armed carjacking.

Deputies from Milwaukee pursued the wanted grey Chrysler 300 sedan northbound on I-41 from County Line Road Q with speeds reaching more than 120mph. The Milwaukee deputies were said to have terminated their pursuit after reportedly losing radio communications with their dispatch center.
Two Washington County deputies who were south of Highway 145 reinitiated the pursuit after the driver of the wanted vehicle continued to travel at high speeds while also driving recklessly.
Deputies, after coordinating with several other agencies, were able to successfully deploy tire deflation devices near Highway 33. The pursuit ended safely on I-41 just to the north of County Trunk DW in the town of Addision.
Officials say a high-risk traffic stop was conducted, and the driver, a 30-year-old Milwaukee man, and the passenger, a 21-year-old Milwaukee man, both with lengthy criminal records, were arrested.

Following their arrest, both men were transferred to the Milwaukee Police Department, which is handling the investigation into the armed carjacking. Despite being transferred, the two men will still be facing the following potential charges in Washington County:
- Felony Fleeing/Eluding an Officer
- Second-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
- Misdemeanor Bail Jumping
- Operating Without a Valid License (2nd offense within 3 years)
No other information is available at this time, and the Washington County Sheriff has praised the teamwork shown by all the agencies involved.
