The Latest from Storm Team 5…
After a quiet day weather wise for the first day of school, a cold front dropping in from our north will bring a chance for a few showers and rumbles of thunder overnight tonight. Severe weather is not expected, but some brief steady rain and rumbles of thunder are possible. Lows tonight will fall into the mid to upper 50s.
Rain showers will continue for some for the morning bus stop tomorrow, leading to a mostly cloudy remainder of our day. A turn of our winds to the NW that will be up to 10-20mph will draw in cooler temperatures in the mid 60s, with low 60s up north.
Heads up to mariners, that NW wind will create a bit of a chop and with cool air over warmer water temperatures, a few waterspouts are possible.
Get ready for a chilly overnight on Wednesday into Thursday morning with lows in the upper 30s and low 40s. Patchy frost is certainly a possibility.
Highs on Thursday will only recover into the upper 50 and low 60s under a mixture of sunshine and clouds combined with a brisk NW wind.
Another rain chance moves in Thursday evening and night, so plan ahead if you have any high school football games Thursday evening.
