MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Wisconsin reported that the body of a 33-year-old man was recovered from a lake on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, the man was reported missing at 5:40 p.m. on Monday, and officials worked for the next few hours to locate his body to no avail.
Early on Tuesday morning, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office began recovery efforts in roughly 30 feet of water with divers, sonar and an underwater drone, locating the man’s body shortly before 1 p.m.
“Our hearts are with the family and friends of this young man,” Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said. “Losing a loved one in such a sudden and tragic way is heartbreaking.”
