KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 12-year-old girl was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle while riding an electric scooter in Kaukauna.
The Kaukauna Police Department says officers responded shortly after 3:30 p.m. to the intersection of Catherine Street and Amanda Street for a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash.

When officers arrived, they found the girl with injuries to her arm and shoulder.
Two young adults seriously injured in Wisconsin motorcycle crash
A preliminary investigation revealed she had been riding an electric scooter northbound on the sidewalk on the west side of Catherine Street near Kwik Trip. At the same time, a vehicle exited the Kwik Trip parking lot, attempting to head south on Catherine Street, and struck the girl.
She was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
