The Latest from Storm Team 5…
We started out day with rain showers and a few rumbles of thunder, but since then most have stayed dry. High temperatures actually occurred around the lunchtime in the 50s and low 60s, and we have been falling ever since with the passage of a cold front.
Tonight, with clear skies and a light wind, temperatures will be falling quickly, with lows tonight expected to be in the upper 30s and low 40s. Patchy frost is possible tonight, especially in north central Wisconsin where there is Frost Advisory that goes into effect at 2am and runs through 8am. This includes Langlade County in our area. It is important to cover those sensitive plants or bring them inside.
After a cool start to the day, expect sunshine giving way to clouds especially later in the day. A continued breezy NW wind will keep highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. We have a chance to a record cool high temperature for the day.
Rain showers are expected to move in after bed time Thursday night and continue overnight, but that will clear well before the morning drive to work on Friday. Friday will be the coolest day of the week now, in the upper 50s to around 60. Once again, record cool highs are possible.
Looking quiet this weekend, just fall like for the Packers and Lions game Sunday. Temperatures closer to average move in for early to mid next week.
