MARINETTE, Wis. (WFRV) – On Wednesday evening in Marinette, a familiar face to long-time Local 5 viewers emceed an event to raise awareness about scams and ways to protect yourself.
Local 5 alum Erin Davisson emceed Fraud Defense: True Stories. Real Scams. The free event featured real-world examples of scams that occurred and impacted people in northeast Wisconsin.

In addition, local police, fraud investigators and banking professionals gave their take on how some scams arise and how people can protect themselves.
The event was put on through the collaborative efforts of Integra First Credit Union, Peshtigo National Bank and Stephenson National Bank & Trust.
