GREEN Bay, Wis. (WFRV) – Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers continued his statewide ‘back-to-school’ tour by visiting students in Green Bay on Wednesday.
Local Five was there as the former State Superintendent stopped at Beaumont Elementary School on Green Bay’s west side.
While visiting, Governor Evers discussed the state’s biannual budget, which included a nearly $1.4 billion increase in spendable revenue throughout the state for K-12 schools.
We got a big bump there and that helps school districts because they were using regular money into special education as a last resort.
