MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – A new exhibit is coming to Lincoln Park Zoo in Manitowoc, but construction will close part of the zoo for the rest of the year.
Work on the Coastal Wetland Aviary is scheduled to begin Sept. 8. To allow for construction, amenities on the southeast portion of the zoo will be closed to the public.
All other areas of the zoo will remain open throughout the project. Equipment will be staged in the Reed Avenue parking lot, and materials will be transported regularly through the zoo.
Zoo visitors are asked to be mindful of construction-related vehicle traffic on the grounds and to plan accordingly.
