ROSENDALE, Wis. (WFRV) – Two men and a woman were taken into custody in Fond du Lac County after initially fleeing from police but returning to a crash scene.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, on September 3, around 11:40 p.m., authorities tried to stop a vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Division Street in Rosendale. Officials say the vehicle did not stop and sped up.
Eventually, a deputy found the vehicle in a ditch at the intersection of Hwy 23 and Rose-Eld Road. There was no one in the vehicle, according to the release.

Following a search with a drone and a K9 unit, no one was found.
While waiting for a tow company to remove the vehicle, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper saw a different vehicle with the same registered owner as the suspect vehicle on CTH KK near Hwy 23.
That second vehicle reportedly drove by the original crash scene and was pulled over. Two men admitted to being the people in the original vehicle and were taken into custody.
Authorities say a ‘significant’ amount of illegal narcotics were found in the vehicle.
The driver of the original vehicle, identified as a 28-year-old man, was on parole through Brown County for multiple charges. He reportedly had an active felony warrant out.
He was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail on multiple charges.
The other passenger of the initial vehicle was identified as a 23-year-old man. He was also on parole through Brown County. He was sent to the Fond du Lac County Jail for multiple charges.

The driver of the second vehicle, identified as a 24-year-old woman, was sent to the Fond du Lac County Jail for multiple charges.
