BRILLION, Wis. (WFRV) – Packers alumni have been busy recently and have now turned from throwing the pigskin to shooting clays, raising support for Heritage Hill State Park.
“We’re shooting for a good cause, and guys are pretty cranked. We have got a beautiful day today, and you know I usually shoot only once a year, and it is usually on this day at this event, so looking forward to it,” said Packers Hall of Famer Lynn Dickey.

Alumni who participated spanned decades, with players from the 2010 Super Bowl team gathering to give back to the community that rooted for them on Sundays.
“This fraternity, that you are lucky to be a part of, it never ends, it’s a lasting deal, and I guarantee there are 31 other teams that would love to have what we have with the Green Bay Packers,” Dickey said.
Stationed all around the shooting range, the former Packers interacted with each group, sharing stories, laughs and instilling the Packers culture into their daily lives.
“What’s so great about the Packers, it’s not only the culture, but it’s their willingness to give back to the community that supports them. So anytime they are willing to do something for the community, then I am willing to do something for the community,” said Super Bowl XLV champion Jason Spitz.
Heritage Hill State Park is grateful for the relationship with the Packers and recognizes that the team’s rich history is just as important as the park’s.

“We get about five percent of our funding from the state, so we really rely on donors and these types of events to keep going. And history is everything. It’s where we came from, it’s another part of Green Bay that is very historical,” said Elizabeth Jolly-Haslitt, the park’s director of development.
All of the money raised from the event will go toward funding the park’s programs.
