GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Wide Receiver Christian Watson and the Packers have agreed to a one-year contract extension that will keep the young pass catcher in Green Bay through the 2026 season.
According to ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter and Watson’s agent Adisa Bakari, the 26-year-old wideout agreed to the one-year, $13.25 million contract extension on Tuesday.
Watson is currently on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list while he rehabs a torn ACL suffered in the 2024 regular season finale against the Bears on January 5, 2025.

The second-round draft pick in 2022 was in the final year of his rookie contract, but the new deal allows Watson adequate time to recover without the urgency of a contract year.
Watson is expected to return later in the season; however, the PUP designation guarantees that he will miss the first four weeks of the 2025 campaign.
The Packers announced the deal as official around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10.
