HARRISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A seven-year-old child with autism died Saturday afternoon after drowning in a pond at an apartment complex in Calumet County.
According to the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the North Shore Apartments on Sonny Drive in the Village of Harrison for a report of a missing child. The child had been unaccounted for only three to four minutes before being reported missing.

Deputies found the child unresponsive in a pond on the property. A deputy entered the water, pulled the child out, and began life-saving measures until emergency medical services arrived and took over. The child was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say no foul play is suspected, and no criminal charges will be filed.
