GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – After a firearm was found at Preble High School this week, the Green Bay Area Public School District is requiring students in grades six through 12 to begin using clear or colorless backpacks starting Monday, September 22.
To help families adjust, local businesses are stepping up to provide free clear backpacks. Specialty Auto Sales in Suamico has purchased 25 clear backpacks and is giving them away to students who show a valid student ID.
