LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – An 82-year-old man was pronounced dead at a hospital after being hit by a vehicle while crossing a Little Chute intersection early Friday morning.
Officers with the Fox Valley Metro Police Department say they responded to the intersection of East Main Street and Buchanan Street in Little Chute around 7:45 a.m. on September 12 for reports of a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle.
Officers say that based on a preliminary investigation, the 82-year-old man was using the crosswalk on East Main Street when a vehicle driven by a woman crashed into him.
The man suffered significant injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he was then pronounced dead.
Officers noted that the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
