GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – For the ninth year in a row, the Green Bay Packers are teaming up with Emplify Health by Bellin and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation to raise awareness and funds for the Packers vs. Cancer campaign.
The campaign raises money for research and also brings awareness to all forms of cancer while promoting early screenings, as it can save lives.
Packers defensive lineman James Ester met with representatives from Emplify Health by Bellin and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation on Tuesday as the organizations kicked off the program.
Ester also met with several cancer patients and toured the Cancer Team at Emplify Health by Bellin, speaking about his friend’s battle with cancer.
This year’s campaign features a new hat, with $5 for each hat sold going directly to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation.
The Packers will also officially recognize the campaign in a home game against the Cincinnati Bengals on October 12.
