AUBURN, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people were hurt, with one now in custody, after an SUV crashed into a Fond du Lac County home early Tuesday morning.
According to a release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 1:01 a.m. to a home at W1621 Christy Lane in the Township of Auburn for reports of a crash.

Officials on the scene say they found the home significantly damaged, with an SUV sitting in the yard.
A preliminary investigation showed that the SUV was heading east on Christy Lane before going down a private driveway and crashing into the front of the home.
Deputies say the driver of the SUV, a 32-year-old Campbellsport woman, did not have her seatbelt on and suffered minor injuries. She was treated at the scene before later being taken to SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Two people were inside the home at the time of the crash, with one of them sleeping in a bedroom.
The person sleeping in a bedroom was directly impacted by the crash, suffering minor injuries and being taken by ambulance to Froedtert West Bend Hospital. The other occupant of the home was not injured.

Officials report that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, and the 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of OWI Causing Injury.
At this time, no other information is available, and an investigation into the crash remains ongoing by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
