GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Oneida Recovery Nest celebrated its third anniversary, continuing its mission to support members struggling with addiction.
The event featured food, a screening of the movie Ben Is Back, which explores themes of drug addiction, and behavioral health resource tables for attendees.

One of the Nest’s key services is its recovery coaching program. “They just do everything they can to help prevent individuals from using these substances, and I think it’s important because it’s hard when there’s nobody there. These recovery coaches are there when nobody’s there,” said Jonas Hill, Oneida Nation Councilman.

The celebration also highlighted the Wisconsin Memorial Quilt, created by an individual to honor people lost to substance use and overdoses across the region, not just within the Oneida community.
The quilt serves as a way to remember loved ones as human beings who made a wrong choice, offering a meaningful tribute to those lost.
