APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) — Uncle Mike’s Kringle Shoppe has expanded again, this time bringing its award-winning baked goods to Appleton.
The new location opened Monday at W3178 Van Roy Road, Suite A, with customers already lining up to try the Fox Valley’s newest sweet spot.

The shop carries the full lineup of kringles and baked goods Uncle Mike’s is known for, including its popular freezer section that allows customers to take their favorites home in bulk. In addition to kringles, customers will find scratch-made breads, cookies, and seasonal pastries.
The Appleton store also features a coffee and espresso bar, a merchandise section, and plenty of cold treats, offering ice cream both by the pint and by the scoop. That makes it the first Uncle Mike’s location to serve scooped ice cream in-store, adding another reason for families to stop in.
Uncle Mike’s Kringle Shoppe has grown into a household name in northeast Wisconsin, winning multiple national awards for its kringles, a traditional Danish pastry filled with fruit, nuts, or other flavors.
The bakery’s reputation was cemented in 2016, when its Sea Salt Caramel Pecan Kringle won “Best Kringle in North America” from the American Society of Bakers.

The Appleton shop joins Uncle Mike’s other locations in Green Bay and Suamico, and its products are also available online, where customers from around the country place orders, especially during the holidays.
With the addition of the Appleton store, Uncle Mike’s is aiming to not only meet demand for its signature kringles but also to create a community spot where people can gather for coffee, a sweet treat, or even a scoop of ice cream.
