GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Local volunteers are out in force this week helping homeowners during the 6th Annual Good Neighbor Week, happening September 22 through 28 across the Greater Green Bay area.
From home repairs to landscaping, neighbors are working together to improve their community, block by block. Today, volunteers are active at two Green Bay homes: 1948 Deckner and 1364 Shirley, with organizers encouraging media coverage for interviews and video.
This year’s effort includes:
- 11 home improvement projects in Green Bay
- 5 projects in Allouez (completed last week)
- 2 projects in De Pere

The initiative is coordinated by NeighborWorks Green Bay, Green Bay Neighborhoods, the City of Green Bay, and the Village of Allouez, with support from partners like Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity’s Rock the Block. All repairs are provided at no cost to homeowners.
One homeowner shared, “You think these are little things you do, but they are big things to me. Being able to stay in my family home is very important to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
